I know, I know. Losing weight is hard. Being healthy is hard. No one knows that better than me! I’ve tried all the best fat burner appetite suppressant and failed more times than I can count on both hands. The problem is that many foods that we think are healthy, or at least not too bad, are actually horrible for us. I want you to learn from my mistakes, so you don’t have to make them too.
There’s really no need to talk about the obvious stuff. Deep-fried red meats wrapped in bacon and drenched in melted brown sugar, yeah, obviously you’re not going to eat that if you’re on a diet. But the stealthy unhealthy foods are even worse. I want to tell you about the worst foods you can eat that are everywhere because they seem so innocent. They’re in everything!
Ever had seafood? You probably had tartar sauce with it, right? That little cup of tartar sauce isn’t worth it. Most people don’t even know what’s in tartar sauce, but the bottom line is that it’s even worse than mayonnaise because it’s packed with more things that are even more fattening.
Okay, okay. No more seafood for us, right? I started switching over to Chinese, sticking to the non-fried items. That’s when I ran afoul of soy sauce. It comes with almost everything on the dang menu, and you wouldn’t believe the amount of salt-packed into those tiny plastic packages.
Anything with margarine and butter! Wait, I see you crying out already as you read this. Isn’t margarine supposed to be the HEALTHY alternative to butter? Oh, I wish it were. Unfortunately, after slathering the stuff on every piece of bread I ate for years, I discovered that it’s just about as bad for trans fats and heart-related problems.
Once you’ve learned to avoid all these ridiculously common ingredients in your meals, you’ll be on the road to health. It’s a long, hard road getting away from the worst foods you can eat, but it’s worth it if you want to live a long life. And I don’t know about you, but that’s definitely a priority for me.
